If you watch Game Of Thrones, then you are a fan of Khaleesi or Daenerys. Played by Emilia Clarke, she is perhaps the most iconic female character on television in over a decade. She is the embodiment of power, sexiness, and style. So, it's no wonder that so many women are looking to get a Daenerys Targaryen costume for Halloween.
The interesting thing about designing and wearing a Daenerys costume is that you have two different styles. One is the Princess and the other is the Warrior. Different women like different looks.
Both are sexy, and both have the long platinum hair. But the outfits are a bit different on each.
One of the outfits is more warrior. That's the Khalessi outfit. Khaleesi is the name that was given to Daenerys when she married into the Dothraki clan. Khalessi is the title that is given to the wife of a Khal. The Khal, played by Jason Moma, is the warrior leader of the Dothraki.
So, Emilia Clarke was Daenerys, and is still Daenerys. That's her name. Here title, amongst the Dothraki, and those who follow her who are the freed slaves, is Khalessi.
The two outfits are also different. When she is dressed as Daenerys she is shown wearing flowing gowns. Such as when you see here in the city of
Qarth, she is dressed as Daenerys. When she is out in the desserts and leading her armies she will be dressed as Khalessi.
So there are two types of outfits: The Khalessi and the Daenerys Targaryen.
Let's take a look first at the Khalessi Costume!
This costume design is modeled after the Khalessi. When you see Emilia Clark dressed up as Khalessi she is wearing something that is not soft and pretty, it is tough and sexy. When you're looking for a Khalessi costume you will want something that conveys the sex and tough appeal of the t.v. show. Some ladies have gone full out and made their own costumes.
I you want to design you own Khalessi Costume then you will need three thins: 1 A Platinum Wig. 2. Cargo Pants (or suitable dark denim or Khalessi ) and 3. A corset top.
Lets get the main accessory out of the way:
Danerys and Khalessi Hair: Platinum Wig
This is the most basic accessory. If you're wearing either the Daenerys Princess costume, or the
Khalessi costume, you will need a platinum blonde wig. Unless you have long blonde hair, in which case you only have to style it.

If you would prefer to get the more rough and tumble look, then what you can do is get a halter top and match it to cargo pants or a brown or olive drab dress.

Then you're going to have to put it together yourself. Some ladies are good with sewing and design, so they actually sew their own. But that can be difficult. If you would rather put it together from clothing you can buy online, then there are some things you can do. The benefit to this is that you will get clothes that you can wear year round---not just on Halloween or to Cosplay.
The basics will be a halter top, a skirt, the blond wig.
